FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (NBC 26) — UPDATE at 11:30am:

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office says Jordan and Serenity have been located safe at an address in the city of Fond du Lac.

Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt and Lamartine Fire Chief Joe Birschbach say they extend sincere appreciation to the more than 100 emergency personnel from multiple agencies who participated in the search for Jordan and Serenity, and also thank all of the citizens who provided tips and information.

"There were a lot of assets and a lot of these people it should be noted are volunteers," Birschbach said. "They're not getting paid to be out here this dreary, cold Friday morning. These are guys and gals that have other jobs and other responsibilities and spent the vast majority of this morning out here and we can't thank them enough."

The circumstances surrounding the crash and what occurred after are being investigated by the sheriff’s office, which says no other information can be released at this time.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a missing persons case involving a man and an infant.

According to police, a woman, a 24-year-old man, and his infant were involved in a minor car crash on Brown Road in the town of Lamartine.

The man, named Jordan, removed his 4-month-old baby, named Serenity, and walked into a marshy area, carrying the baby in a car seat. The woman lost sight of them.

The woman was able to drive back to the city of Fond du Lac. When she was unable to contact Jordan after several hours, she called the Sheriff's Office, around 2:30am on Friday.

Deputies responded to the crash scene and began searching the area. They located the empty car seat north of the scene.

Jordan and Serenity have not been found.

Jordan was last seen wearing a dark blue hoodie and gray sweatpants. Serenity was bundled in blankets.

Police are asking the public to stay away from the area north of Brown Rd. between Esterbrook Rd. and Nelson Rd. so that emergency crews can conduct their search.
