FOND DU LAC CO. (NBC 26) — A Fond du Lac County man has died after a crash Thursday morning on Highway 151.
Deputies have identified him as Gary Wojtalewicz of Malone, Wisconsin.
The crash happened near Kiekhaefer Parkway in the Town of Taycheedah just before noon Thursday.
The Sheriff's Office said 68-year-old Wojtalewicz was driving his pickup truck and was slowing down to turn left into a driveway. That's when a semi-tractor and trailer, driven by a 60-year-old Winnebago County man, hit him from behind and pushed the pickup off the road. The pickup then hit a tree, pinning the driver. Deputies said lifesaving measures were attempted, but the Fond du Lac County man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation as of Friday morning.
