BROWN COUNTY (NBC 26) — Five people are facing charges in what the Brown County Sheriff's Office says was a lengthy investigation involving numerous law enforcement agencies in Northeastern Wisconsin.

Eric Vanduyse, Heather Barnes, Tonja Maples, Chauncy White and Steven Vandehei are accused in a burglary, theft, drugs and stolen property investigation. The Sheriff's Office said Vanduyse, Vandehei, Barnes and others burglarized storage units, maintenance buildings and stole from construction sites throughout the region.

The stolen property was primarily traded to White in exchange for marijuana and methamphetamine, the Sheriff's Office says. Authorities also say stolen items and drugs were found after search warrants were carried out in multiple Northeast Wisconsin locations within Brown, Outagamie and Calumet counties.

Additional criminal charges are likely given the scope of the investigation, the Sheriff's Office says.
