NEENAH (NBC 26) -- With the heavy snow northeast Wisconsin has recently seen, Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue reminded people shoveling to also remove snow from around their fire hydrants.
A picture shared by the fire department asked when the seconds count, which picture of a fire hydrant would you rather have to protect your home: a hydrant almost completely covered in snow or a hydrant that's clear and easily accessible?
"Don't forget to clear the snow away from hydrants in your neighborhood!" wrote the Department in a Facebook post. The picture the department shared said to clear a three foot radius around the fire hydrants.
