BLACK CREEK, Wis. — Multiple crews called to fight a structure fire in Outagamie County. Firefighters responded to reports of a burning shed around 6:30 Thursday morning.

The fire took place off Wick Road in Black Creek. The fire department says firefighters saw the flames when they arrived on the scene and immediately called for additional help from surrounding communities.

"We could just see the sky was just glowing and bright orange,” says Black Creek Assistant Fire Chief Ryan Schomisch. “It was fully engulfed from one end to the other. That's when we knew we had a big deal on our hands.”

Firefighters say they for the most part had the fire under control within about two hours and there were no injuries. The shed was filled with expensive farm machinery and bales of hay which continued to burn.

The fire department says the scene wrapped up around 12:30 p.m. and they still don't know the cause of the fire, which is under investigation.

As for the equipment, firefighters estimate close to a million dollars’ worth of damage, if not more. The owner of the shed says it's just a shed and says he's just glad nobody got hurt.
