OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is hosting a 12-hour volunteer event in Oshkosh to help the hungry.
Hosted by Oshkosh Corporation, the 5th annual ‘Feed the Body, Feed the Soul’ returned to northeast Wisconsin on Thursday.
This 12-hour event features nearly 1,000 volunteers who will come together at the Sunnyview Expo Center to package rice, a staple food needed at food pantries in eastern Wisconsin.
“We are so grateful to partner with Oshkosh Corporation once again for Feed the Body, Feed the Soul,” said Patti Habeck, President and CEO of Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. “This incredible day-long event is always a great example of how when working together we have the biggest impact. We thank everyone involved for their commitment to giving back to our community.”
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin said in a statement in order to keep spirits and energy high during the day, 12 hours of live music accompanies the volunteer event.
