WAGNER, Wis. (NBC 26) — Deputies reported a fatal snowmobile crash just before midnight Saturday.

The Marinette County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened on trail #S-1 west of State Highway 180 in the Town of Wagner. Another snowmobiler had come across the crashed snowmobile and reported it.

Deputies said the snowmobile had gone off the trail on a curve and crashed into a tree. A man was found and pronounced dead at the scene due to head and internal injuries caused by the crash.

The man was identified as 46-year-old Tony F. Camps from the Town of Porterfield.

Deputies said speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation. No further information has been released at this time.
