WILD ROSE, Wis. — Fire crews in Waushara County are reporting one person has died in a house fire in the Town of Rose, next to the Village of Wild Rose.
According to the fire department, crews arrived on to house on 17th drive that was fully engulfed in flames. One person was reported inside during the fire, and was later pronounced dead.
The Wild Rose Fire Dept. says 71-year-old George Janka died in the Christmas day fire. A family dog also was a victim of the fire.
The investigation into the cause is still in progress.
