DODGE CO. (NBC 26) — One person was found dead after a car left the road and crashed into a house just after 7 a.m. Sunday.
The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened at N8593 State Hwy 33 in the Township of Trenton.
According to the report, a 2012 Honda Civic was traveling northbound on State Hwy 33, passing Sunset Point Rd., and did not slow for the curve in the road. The car went into the west ditch onto the front lawn of N8593 before crashing into the front of the house.
Deputies say a the Civic was driven by a 24-year-old Fox Lake man who was the sole occupant at the time of the crash. He was found dead when first responders arrived.
The Sheriff's Office says alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor.
The crash is still under investigation. No further information has been released.
