APPLETON, Wis. (AP) — The Latest on the firefighter killed, three others injured in Wisconsin transit center shooting (all times local):

12:40 p.m.

A long line of emergency vehicles escorted the body of a firefighter killed in a shooting at a Wisconsin transit center from a medical examiner’s office in Milwaukee back to Appleton.

Police on motorcycles led the procession as it made its way north about 120 miles (193 kilometers) on Interstate 41. Firefighters with their truck lights flashing positioned themselves on interstate overpasses as the procession passed by on the way to an Appleton funeral home.

The 14-year veteran of the Appleton Fire Department was killed Wednesday evening at Valley Transit, where a police officer and two others were injured in the shooting. Authorities have so far provided few details about the incident and the conditions of the injured, but planned a news conference for Thursday afternoon.

The firefighter has not been identified.
