Two young Milwaukee students got the opportunity of a lifetime Thursday when they performed their viral rap about education on national TV.

Savannah Patterson and Aryn Amir Fears, both of Milwaukee's Excellence Charter School, appeared on TNT's popular "NBA on TNT" program, which stars former players Shaquille O'Neal and Charles Barkley, among others.

The students appeared to perform their viral "Milwaukee Excellence" rap, which was inspired by teacher Terrance Sims and posted to YouTube last month. Their message? All about just how important a quality education is.

"I was on Instagram...and I saw these two fabulous little girls, they were rapping," O'Neal said. "But they were spitting their conscience...it was very inspring."
