Evacuation ordered for some Brown County Residents

BROWN COUNTY, WIS. — Evacuation has been ordered for some Brown County residents.

UPDATE:
The Village of Bellevue, neighboring communities, and Brown County are closing roads and evacuating residents now and likely throughout the night as we track flooding conditions. For your own safety, do not drive into flooded areas. Bridges over the East River are likely to be closed if flooding increases.

Here is a list of SOME closures. We are making necessary closures as conditions evolve therefore this list is not comprehensive as conditions are changing by the minute.

Be careful, be safe, and stay away from flooded streets....it is not worth risking your safety or the safety of others!

Brown County residents who live on GB/Monroe between STH 172 and Dickson Rd need to be evacuated due to the high and rising water.The alert was posted around 7:00 by Brown County Emergency Management.

If you live near here and live south of Lames Bus, please evacuate southbound on Monroe. If you live north of Lamers on Monroe, please call 391-6925 to get help for evacuations. Brown county officials say people in those areas will need help from high-clearance vehicles to get out.

"Remember; Purses, Pills, People, Pets, Phons. Grab your essential and evacuate." says Brown County Emergency Management.

Brown County officials have also ordered a Shelter in Place for residents that live off of Lime Kiln in the subdivision of Daly Dr, Palmer Ct, Palmer Dr, Lopez Ln, Trevino Dr, Johnny Ln, Faldo Ln, Tiger Ct. Due to high water 3-4ft high on Lime Kiln and Daly, please shelter in place. Shelter in place means if you are home, to stay home. If you do have a medical emergency, please call 911.

ALSO, if you do not live in the 2 areas mentioned thus far but are still worried that your house may be near flooding stage, please get a "go bag" together. Purses, pills, pet stuff, phones. That way if you do need to evacuate later, you will be prepared to do so.
