GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — A key witness breaks down on the stand in James Prokopovitz's homicide trial for the 2013 disappearance of his wife, Victoria.
Tuesday saw emotional testimony from Jennifer Friday, the daughter of James Prokopovitz's alleged mistress, Kathy Friday. The defendant says he only started dating Kathy Friday after his wife disappeared. But Jennifer Friday told the jury she had her suspicions, saying her mother was lying about her relationship with the defendant.
The jury also heard from the defendant himself in a recorded interview from 2014, one year after Victoria disappeared. In the interview, he appears to contradict stepson Wesley Edges' account that his parents fought over a tablecloth the last time he saw his mother alive.
Finally, the jury heard from the defendant's ex-wife, who accused the defendant of pointing a gun at her. The trial will resume again Wednesday.
