EAA has announced the groundbreaking for the first expansion of EAA’s Aviation Center in more than 20 years with a $6.2 million Project 21 addition.
According to a news release, this first step in the EAA museum revitalization includes the construction of a Youth Education Center and a Pilot Proficiency Center, creating a state-of-the-art aviation education and training destination.
Jack J. Pelton, EAA’s CEO/Chairman of the Board, announced the project and led the groundbreaking ceremony Monday.
EAA says in a news release that construction of the 30,000-square foot addition on the south side of the museum’s Eagle Hangar will start immediately with a completion goal of mid-2022.
