Drunken driver arrested after going 124 mph on highway

LITTLE CHUTE, Wis. (NBC 26) — Police said a driver was arrested for drunk driving while going 124 mph on the highway early Saturday morning.

The Fox Valley Metro Police Department said the vehicle was traveling on Interstate 41. An officer with a stationary radar clocked the vehicle traveling 124 mph in a posted 70 mph zone; and was pulled over for speeding.

According to the officer, the driver showed signs of impairment that lead to a field sobriety test. The driver was arrested on their 2nd offense for operating while intoxicated.
