TOWN OF ONEIDA, Wis. (NBC 26) -- An alleged drunk driver crashed a pickup truck into power equipment causing outages in the Seymour area, according to the Outagamie County Sheriff's Office.

It happened around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of STH 54 at STH 55 in the Town of Oneida.

Deputies say the driver failed to stop at the intersection striking WE Energies property.

At around 4 a.m., WE Energies was reporting nearly 2000 outages.

The 26-year-old Seymour man driving the vehicle was brought to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

STH 54 was closed for about an hour while the scene was cleared of down power lines.
