VILLAGE OF WRIGHTSTOWN (NBC 26) -- A driver was arrested for OWI following a response to a car fire Wednesday.
Crews responded to reports of an accident in the area of Louise Drive in the Village of Wrightstown at 1:47 a.m. According to a release, the driver told witnesses that her children were in the vehicle which was relayed to dispatch and first responders. Wrightstown Police arrived to find the vehicle completely engulfed in flames, making it unable for them to approach it. After an interview with the driver they determined she was the only occupant at the time of the crash.
The driver was transported to a hospital for her injuries. She was then booked in Brown County Jail on suspicion of operating while intoxicated.
