GREEN BAY, Wis. — The horses aren't the only ones racing this weekend! Lucky 7 Dog Rescue is teaming up with Copper State Brewing Company to put on a Doggy Derby fundraiser.
The event will take place this Saturday at the Green Bay brewery from 1p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a viewing of the 2019 Kentucky Derby, raffles, live music, best dressed contest, derby themed food and drinks and of course the adoptable racers themselves.
If you have a fur baby you'd like to enter into the race, the cost $5 per race. The races will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The proceeds will towards Lucky 7 Dog Rescue and be used for vetting, training, housing and more.
