FOX CROSSING (NBC 26) — A dog was rescued from a fire on Linda Avenue Thursday afternoon. Fox Crossing Fire said the dog was not hurt, and the three people who lived there had to find somewhere else to stay.
It happened just after noon on the 1300 block of the street. The fire started in an attached garage, and as crews arrived they saw flames coming from the backside of the building and smoke throughout the roof-line.
Multiple hose lines were put in place to stop the spread of the fire from getting into the living space. However, smoke damaged the first floor, basement and destroyed the garage and everything inside it.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Friends and neighbors are helping the family.
