BROWN COUNTY (NBC 26) -- The Brown County Sheriff's Office is searching for a male suspect in relation to an attempted armed robbery around noon Saturday. It happened on the 2100 block of Webster Avenue.

The victim says he was plowing snow with a small tractor when he was approached by the suspect asking for money. The victim refused and the suspect pulled out a kitchen knife and demanded money.

The victim pulled out a legally possessed concealed carry firearm, at which point the suspect fled the scene on foot. Deputies say they set up a perimeter and attempted a K-9 track but were unable to find the suspect.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 35 to 40-years-old and clean shaven. He is said to have been wearing a Chicago Bears stocking hat, a black hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans along with tan work boots that appeared to be "new."
