GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- As part of Children's Dental Health Month, dental hygienists from Dental Associates are visiting dozens of schools in Green Bay and the Fox Valley to teach young ones how to care for their teeth.
Hygienists will present an engaging and hands-on demonstration to keep the attention of little ones. They say children will put on gloves and masks, just like a dentist would, then use an oversized toothbrush to learn how to brush correctly - which is in small, gentle circles instead of hard back-and-forth brushing.
Dental Associates will be visiting different schools on multiple days in February to teach elementary schoolers and provide each child with a bag of dental supplies. These supplies include a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss.
You can find them at King Elementary talking with first, second, and third graders as well as Westwood Elementary first graders on Feb 21. They will also be visiting Badger School second graders on Feb 25, Park School kindergarteners and first graders on Feb 26, and Langlade Elementary second and third graders on Feb 28.
