GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — One man was found dead in the deep end at Colburn Pool on Sunday morning, according to police.
Police on scene said that lifeguards arrived for the morning shift and found him in the deep end. Police said removed him from the water and tried to perform life saving measures, but realized he was beyond help.
Green Bay police said the man seemed to have jumped the fence at some point overnight when the pool was closed. Colburn Pool does not have exterior security cameras to provide police with a timeline. Initial investigation reveals this is an apparent suicide and there is no danger to the public.
Colburn pool staff said the pool will be closed until further notice, as they are unsure when the investigation will be finished.
Officers confirmed this incident was unrelated to weapons calls they responded to in the area Saturday night.
