For day 15 of the 2019 sturgeon spearing season, the Wisconsin DNR says the were 34 fish registered from Lake Winnebago on Saturday.
Waverly Beach and Stockbridge Harbor combined to register 23 of those fish.
There were no 100 pound fish registered Saturday, but one came close. Andrew Schumacher of Chilton registered a 99.2 pound (74.0”) sturgeon at Stockbridge Harbor.
More than 450 sturgeon have been harvested through the first 15 days of the season on Lake Winnebago and more than 760 sturgeon have been harvested from the system to date.
