There are just three days left in the 2020 sturgeon spearing season. The Wisconsin DNR said 28 fish were harvested Thursday from Lake Winnebago and only one fish was harvested from the Upriver Lakes.

The DNR says the harvest brings the season total to 347 fish harvested from Lake Winnebago and 277 from the Upriver Lakes.

According to the DNR, The largest fish of the day was 112.0 pounds, 75.5 inches and registered at Jim and Linda's by John Pickart. This particular registration station has registered almost twice as many fish as any other station this season, but the DNR says John's fish was the first fish to tip the scales at more than 100 pounds.
