Garage fire at Green Bay home causes about $2,000 in damage

GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- A fire in a garage at a home caused about $2,000 in damage, Green Bay firefighters say.

The Green Bay Metro Fire Department responded at around 8:14 a.m. Monday for a report of possible garage fire near the intersection of Ashland Ave. & Kellogg St. Crews arrived and found smoke coming from a garage at a house on N. Ashland Ave.

Fire officials said a small fire in garage was mostly extinguished prior to firefighters arriving. Firefighters extinguished and controlled fire spread.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated. No one was hurt from the fire.
