Road-rage crash shuts down lanes on Lombardi Ave

GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — GREEN BAY, Wis. (NBC 26) -- Green Bay Police say a case of road-rage caused a crash that shut down parts of Lombardi Avenue on Tuesday evening.

Police say around 5:00 pm a woman purposely crashed her car into her husband's vehicle near the 1200 block of Lombardi Avenue.

According to investigators, the woman then lost control of her vehicle, struck a power pole, causing her vehicle to roll over.

The 33-year-old Green Bay woman was taken to the hospital but was quickly discharged and taken into police custody.

No one else was injured in the crash.

Wisconsin Public Service says around 1600 people were without power. Police say the area around 1200 block of Lombardi Avenue will remain closed until power is restored.

Drivers are asked to avoid Lombardi Ave between S. Oneida St and S Ridge Rd. Alternate east/west routes are Mason St and State Hwy 172.
