GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — A crash damaged a Green Bay power pole early Wednesday afternoon. Green Bay Police ask drivers to avoid the area of Gross Ave. and St. Paul St. due to the crash.

Police say the pole was badly damaged by a vehicle and will have to be replaced by Wisconsin Public Service. Power may be out or intermittent at various times as this work is being done. This repair may take several hours to complete.

The people in the vehicle were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

According to Green Bay Police, this is not a heavily traveled area in a neighborhood, and anyone needing to access the area can do so by going one block over in any direction to avoid the WPS workers and potential road blockage.
