The Waupaca County Sheriff's Office says the intersection of State Highway 22 and County Highway QQ was closed Monday morning due to a fatal crash.
A 58-year-old man from Shawano County is dead after officials say a box truck crossed the center line into an oncoming semi truck. The driver of the box truck has been pronounced dead, the driver of the semi is expected to be okay.
The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. Monday. The Sheriff's Department says they anticipate reopening the road around 9 a.m.
Officials are mapping the crash site with a drone to determine what caused the crash. They asked drivers to find an alternate route.
