GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — *UPDATE* After asking to review more evidence in the case, the jury in the James Prokopovitz homicide trial adjourned around 8:30 p.m. Friday.
They will be back in court at 8:30 a.m. Saturday to continue deliberations.
James Prokopovitz is accused of killing his wife, Victoria, who disappeared in 2013. Her body was never found.
Prosecutors said Prokopovitz was the last person to see his wife alive and pointed to statements he made that his wife was dead and, “never coming back.”
The defense said Victoria suffered from mental health issues, attempted suicide twice, and that James had nothing to do with her disappearance.
Dozens of witnesses testified during the trial, which began last week at the Brown County courthouse in Green Bay.
