GRAND CHUTE (NBC 26) — An event intended to help the community heal from the recent Fox River Mall shooting will be held Monday evening.

The Fox Cities Victim Crisis Response Team has partnered with community mental health providers to be available 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Appleton Alliance Church for a "community healing" event. The church is located at 2693 Grand Chute Blvd, Appleton.

Participants will be gathered in small groups to process through the event. At the end of the small group discussions, those participating will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with facilitators. Additionally, registration is available for a call with one of the organization's facilitators, if an in-person event does not work for you.

Covid and facilities restrictions will limit this event to 40 participants. Registration is required. Another event may be planned if the need exceeds capacity, officials said in a statement.
