SUAMICO (NBC 26) -- A community fundraiser begins Monday in honor of a local teacher who passed away from coronavirus in September.
47-year-old Heidi Hussli taught German at Bay Port High School. A memorial fund was set up in her honor.
Starting Monday, North Shore Bank is offering free coin counting for anyone to help drive donations for the fund. They say the public can donate some or all of their coins and the bank will match up to $500.
This fundraiser will go until the end of November.
