CLINTVONVILLE (WGBA) -- Clintonville police are urging parents to speak with their children about the dangers of vaping.

"We need parents to talk with their children," said Craig Freitag, Clintonville Police Chief.

This request follows a recent marijuana bust at a property on E 12th Street in Clintonville. Police arrested a 19-year-old woman.

Inside that home they found marijuana plants and multiple marijuana cartridges used for vaping. Police believe vaping is targeting youth.

"With how popular marijuana and vaping is becoming, we are starting to see an overlap," Freitag said. "Vaping has resulted in many deaths so far. We just want to make sure the community is aware of what is happening."

The woman's identity has yet to be released. Freitag said he expects more arrests to come from this recent bust. With Clintonville being a small town, Freitag hopes the community can become aware of the problem

"Drugs are in every community," Freitag said. "We are no different than everyone else, but hopefully with more community involvement, we can fix this issue."
