CLINTONVILLE, Wis. (NBC 26) -- The Clintonville Police Department is offering window decals to help first responders be aware of individuals with special needs.
The decals will assist police, firefighters and EMS with useful information about the person at the residence.
They'll help let them know how to approach a situation.
Police say when individuals have disabilities, such as autism or dementia, it can be mistaken by first responders as being aggressive or non-compliant.
Anyone who would like a decal to put in a window at your home can pick one up from the Clintonville Police Department.
They are free. You should put them up near your front door.
