GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- The Wisconsin DNR is sharing some good environmental news.
The DNR is reporting after 30 years of pollution cleanup efforts, the Lower Menominee River Area of Concern has been removed from an international list of the 43 most polluted places on the Great Lakes.
The river, which empties into Green Bay, had been polluted by coal tar, paint sludge and arsenic.
