City of Green Bay to collect bulk waste in flooded area

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The City of Green Bay says it will collect bulk waste in the East River Flood Zone.

Many homes sustained damage due to flooding of the East River last week, the city says. Those homes are expected to to need bulk waste disposal for items damaged in the flood.

According to a news release, the City of Green Bay will provide curbside bulk waste collection to residents within the flood zone until end of day, Friday, April 5, 2019. Residents may also bring flood-damaged items to the Department of Public Works Bulk Dropoff sites, located at the West Side Garage using the entrance on Redwood Drive off of West Mason Street and the East Side Garage using the entrance off of Deckner Avenue.

The drop-off center hours are Monday – Thursday 7am – 3 pm, Friday 7 am – 6 pm, 2nd and 3rd Saturdays of the month 7 am – Noon. A map of the flood-impacted zone is available on the City’s website.
