GREEN BAY, Wis. (NBC 26) -- If you're a parent, you're probably familiar with the Children's Museum of Green Bay.
It's a place to take the kids where they can use their imagination to be a doctor, astronaut, fireman or ballerina.
It's a great learning environment to stimulate curiosity and creativity.
"A lot of peple might see a big gigantic mouth with a slide in it that's fun. We see health and wellness opportunities galore," said Heather Heil, the Children's Museum of Green Bay Director of Events and Guest Experiences. "We can talk about things like digestion, and what you're putting in your body, and where it comes out, and all of those fun things."
It costs the Children's Museum of Green Bay about $11 per visitor to run the facility. They only charge $8 per guest for admission so they need the support of the community to make up the difference.
"It will go to help us in our efforts in our programming, which we have always don in our community," said Heil. "A lot of people may not realize we do as much programming inside our four walls as we do outside of our walls. When the pandemic hit us we were still able to function by doing things at the Green Bay Public School District, Big Brothers Big Sisters and The Boys and Girls Club. We reach all of them. We just did it in a virtual manner."
The Children's Museum has 350,000 visitors every year, and around 3,700 members.
You can bring your children there for play-filled learning and interactive experiences that kids need to grow and develop.
The Children's Museum of Green Bay is hosting a live tour on their Facebook page Wednesday morning. Members of the Paw Patrol will be along to show you behind the scenes at their facility.
