GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — A charity is providing funds to Northeast Wisconsin communities in an attempt to prevent homelessness, the Green Bay Diocese said Thursday.
The Diocese said in a news release Catholic Charities has been awarded $10,000 to be distributed locally to those who are in extreme danger of losing their homes or in need of emergency rental assistance.
It's open to residents in Langlade, Oconto, Manitowoc, and Marinette counties. The Diocese statement says those counties are reporting the highest rates of foreclosures in Wisconsin.
