GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- Business leaders gathering in Green Bay Thursday for the New North Summit.
This year's theme was 2020 Vision. About 600 people filled the KI Convention Center to hear experts in technology, manufacturing, and economic development discuss our current economy and vision for the future.
There was even a HATCH pitch event.
"We have 8 entrepreneurs on the other side of that wall and they're each taking their turn pitching their ideas to a room full of potential investors,” explained New North Executive Director Barb Lamue. “Maybe potential investors so they're competing for first place $5,000, 2nd place, $3,000."
During the event speakers also discussed diversity and inclusion and how to attract veterans back to the region.
