BROWN COUNTY (NBC 26) — Effective immediately, Brown County is under a burning ban, according to a statement from the Brown County Fire Chiefs Association.
The statement cites dry conditions and warm weather, saying fire danger is high in Brown County.
The burning ban will stay in effect until the conditions improve.
The Fire Chiefs' statement comes a day after the DNR released a new warning about high fire danger levels in the majority of the state.
