BROWN COUNTY (NBC 26) -- County Executive Troy Streckenbach, along with Brown County Board Chairman Patrick Buckley and Vice Chairman Tom Sieber, will receive testing for coronavirus Thursday afternoon.
According to a news release issued by the county, the county leaders will be tested for COVID-19 at Casa ALBA Melanie in Green Bay. The leaders plan to be tested at 2:30 p.m.
Casa ALBA has served as a coronavirus testing site for the community since last week. The Wisconsin National Guard said its specimen collection team has collected over 1,850 specimens at Casa ALBA as of Thursday.
County leaders want to promote the importance of coronavirus testing to community residents. Community testing at Casa ALBA Melanie and the Resch Center is free and open to everyone regardless of being symptomatic. Drive-up and walk-in appointments are available now through May 22.
Testing times are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Testing is closed on Sunday.
