The Brown County government is looking to be more efficient, so County Executive Troy Streckenbach has reached out to Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
I want to send a shout out to @elonmusk b/c @browncountywi has a proposal for you. Unfortunately, we snail-mailed it, but if you DM me your info, we'd love to get this to you digitally and see if we can collaborate. #Titletown is ready to transform into #Teslatown!

Streckenbach wants to offer the county's government as a pilot system for bringing Tesla's energy products to the public sector.
"Looked at what it might be like as a pilot to operate some of their product lines within a government entity and allow us to be a case pilot of a case study for a larger objective," Streckenbach explained in an interview with NBC 26.
Streckenbach says that recent attention on Space X's launch to the International Space Station was inspirational and considered a win for private business, as Streckenbach looks to save Brown County taxpayers money while conserving the local environment.
While known for their electric cars, Tesla also builds solar panels and battery systems. Tesla has not returned NBC 26’s request for comment.
