BROWN COUNTY (NBC 26) -- Two deputies, one from Brown County and one from Marinette County, were injured in a crash while on a hunting trip with friends.

All four men sustained serious injuries and needed surgery, according to a GoFundMe page set up to help pay for their medical expenses.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office said on Monday that Deputy Ryan Nystrom was one of the four men injured. The Marinette County Sheriff confirmed Tuesday that Deputy Spencer Elias was also among the injured.

According to the GoFundMe page, the men were driving to Idaho for a hunting trip Saturday when their mini bus camper hit an elk in the road. The vehicle lost control and went off an embankment.

The men were taken to different hospitals for treatment. An update to the GoFundMe page says while the men "are not out of the woods yet," their surgeries were successful.

As of early Tuesday afternoon, more than $50,000 had been raised on the GoFundMe site.
