BROWN CO. (NBC 26) -- Brown County Parks will open the horse trails for the 2020 season on Saturday at 8 a.m.

The Fox River State Recreational Trail has six miles of trails open to horseback riding from Greenleaf to Man-Cal Road.

Neshota Co. Park, located near Denmark, also has six miles of horseback riding trails.

All trails within the Reforestation Camp will remain closed at this time.

The Parks system reminds people to purchase your trail pass before riding. They say all funds will allow them to continue maintenance on the vast local trail systems.

Passes are $5 a day or $25 for the year at the Fox River Trail and $30 for the year at the Neshota trail. Riding without a trail pass will result in a $10 violation notice and a requirement to buy an annual pass.

You can buy a horse trail pass on Brown Co. Park's website HERE.
