Hurricane Dorian left a trail of destruction from the Bahamas to the Carolinas.
The storm is now over but not before taking at least 45 lives, destroying thousands of homes, and creating a blood shortage. The American Red Cross Wisconsin is urging people to donate blood.
Hurricane Dorian forced blood donation centers to close and canceled blood drives in its path, leading to hundreds of uncollected blood donations.
Type O and B blood donors are especially needed.
