GREEN BAY, Wis. — The big move is about to begin: The Green Bay Children's Museum is on its way to a new location.
The process started Tuesday morning with relocating the largest exhibits. They're heading from 301 North Washington in Green Bay to their new home at 1230 Bay Beach Road, right across from the Zippin Pippin roller coaster at Bay Beach Amusement Park.
"We needed a new space, to continue to serve our community,” said Event Specialist Heather Heil. “So, we'll have an outdoor space at this new location. 90% of our exhibits are coming with us to this new location for Phase One. After Phase One is complete, then we'll look at building up and around."
The Children's Museum will re-open in early May to accommodate school groups for end of the year visits.
