GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Bellin Health announced it is increasing and improving its flu clinic offerings for 2020, including adding drive-up options.

Health officials said getting your vaccination is more important than ever due to COVID-19. They said this is because you can contract coronavirus and the flu simultaneously, which can made it difficult to diagnose without a test due to the similarity of symptoms.

Bellin Health said an array of clinics throughout northeastern Wisconsin will begin Saturday and run through November 16. Patients who would like to schedule a flu shot can sign up for a time via the MyBellinHealth patient portal. Non-patients are asked to call their preferred clinic to schedule. Preregistration is required.

Drive-up options and extended flu clinic hours have been added by Bellin Health to make it easy and convenient for community members to get vaccinated.

In addition to clinics and primary care scheduling, walk-in flu shots are available during regular business hours at Bellin's Urgent Care and FastCare locations.

Bellin Health officials reiterated the importance of getting your influenza vaccination amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Although coronavirus is making headlines, the flu can be very dangerous and even fatal.

Bellin Health said getting vaccinated can protect you as well as those around you, such as babies under the age of six months and others who cannot get the flu shot.
