At the Milwaukee Brewers season-opener next Thursday, beer sellers will not be working the aisles, the lone smoking patio will be closed, and each group of fans who bought tickets together will have direct aisle access from their seating block - this is according to the team’s safety plan, which was approved by the City of Milwaukee Health Department.
NBC 26 obtained a copy of the plan, which also requires that fans wear face coverings while on ballpark property, except while eating or drinking in their ticketed seats. Groups of seats will be six feet away from other available seats.
Staff will communicate with fans to avoid restroom lines.
Ballpark doors will remain open during games; if closed, a “gloved employee… will open such doors,” according to the plan.
Neither food nor beverage sellers will work the aisles in the seating area. The direct aisle access for all seating groups will be in effect for the beginning of the season, with no end date specified.
Smoking and vaping are prohibited at the park, according to the team's website.
