GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- As the Packers head to the playoffs, the Better Business Bureau in Wisconsin is warning fans about ticket scams.

The BBB is warning cheeseheads looking for a good deal to be weary of scammers selling counterfeit tickets or tickets that may not even exist. The BBB says ticket scams may include offering low prices on great seats, third-party sellers with no guarantees, or phony websites that look legitimate.

To avoid getting scammed, head directly to the Packers website: https://www.packers.com/tickets

Research the ticket site or seller to see if it provides any buyer protections, such as money-back guarantees if tickets are fake. Always read the fine print. Beware of ticket offers at extreme discount prices - they're probably too good to be true.

The BBB is also warning fans about team merchandise scams. Fans are advised to buy directly from the team or league websites and beware of phony websites that are only looking for your credit card number.
