GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Bay Port High School dance team returned to Green Bay this afternoon after winning the state championship.
The team got a police and fire truck escort back to the high school.
For the seniors, it's a perfect way to finish a high school career.
"When we won I was speechless," Courtney Skaleski said. "I remember standing up and just bawling my eyes out. It was amazing. I couldn't get the words out of my mouth."
Coaches said that it took a lot of dedication to reach this point, and the payoff makes it all well worth it.
