ASHWAUBENON, Wis. — The people who helped save a young bay last summer were presented awards by Ashwaubenon Public Safety.

In July, three-year-old Calyx Harnowski nearly drowned in a pool before he was rescued.

Calyx's family joined the award ceremony this week.

They say the people involved can't be thanked enough.

"I mean, it's basically a second chance," Calyx's dad, Josh Harnowski, said. "It's all kind of a blur, when it happened, but there's no words to describe how happy you are now."

The Citizen Lifesaver Awards went to Tyler Mankovecky, Michelle and Nicole Malek, and Elizabeth Kvoriak.
